J. D. Patil Sangludkar Mahavidyalaya Daryapur Dist Amravati (Maharashtra) is one of twenty seven senior colleges run by Shri Shivaji Education Society Amravati. This society, founded in 1932, is a registered body under society’s registration act 1876. It was founded by Great visionary and the first Union Agriculture Minister Dr Panjabrao Alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh. The college was founded by a great social worker and Ex MLA Late Babasaheb Sangludkar in 1961 with Arts and Commerce faculties.
Itwas affiliated to Nagpur University up to the year 1983 and thereafter affiliated to Amravati University. The college was started with broad objectives to offer higher educational facilities from 10+2 level to bachelor’s degree and post graduation to the rural students who basically remained socially, economically backward and disadvantaged group of society. Subsequently, in 1989 the facility of higher education in the faculty of Science is extended to the existing faculties of Arts and Commerce.At present, the college runs Arts, Commerce and Science faculties offering education from Graduation to Post Graduation (MA in Marathi, History and Music).
The college also runs junior college with arts and commerce streams, and MCVC. In addition, we have career oriented courses under the faculty of science sanctioned and funded by University Grants Commission, New Delhi under the plan based financial support i.e. 11th plan. The college was accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Bangalore. Presently, the college celebrated Golden Jubilee Year in 2011-12 for successful completion of fifty years. College has its own 13 acres beautiful campus with plenty of trees on the bank of river Chandrabhaga.
In the current academic year 2012-13 there are 1508 students. The College has all necessary educational infrastructures with the up to date laboratories, Library, administrative office, audio-visual section etc. Apart from teaching, research and publication activities, the College is best known for its academic and extracurricular events for students
