J.D.Patil Sangludkar Mahavidyalaya Daryapur Dist Amravati (Maharashtra) is one of the 27 colleges run by Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati. Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati was founded by great educationist & Ex- Union Minister for Agriculture Dr Panjabrao allies Bhausaheb Deshmukh. It is a second largest in Maharashtra and largest one in Central India. The college was established in 1961 by Late Babasaheb Sangludkar who was the leading personality and Ex-MLA in Daryapur, especially in the field of education, Sports and other social activities.

The college is grant-in-aid institution by the Government of Maharashtra and located in semi-urban area and affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Amravati (in Maharashtra). It aims to empower educationally backward and disadvantage rural population by imparting general higher education in faculties of Arts (including social science), Commerce and Science at graduate. The college also runs Post graduate courses in Music, Marathi and History. UGC Career Oriented Courses at certificate and diploma level courses in the subjects Zoology, Chemistry and Botany have also been introduced since 2008-09. The college has 13 acres of campus. Total number of students admitted in the year 2012-13 are 1508(734 Girls &74 Boys). Around 34 Senior college, 14 Junior college skilled and experienced teaching faculties and 20 non teaching employees in the college are making the student’s dreams come true.

The Science faculty of the college has 02 recognized research laboratories. Chemistry Lab. has a water and soil analysis centre. The college has medicinal plant garden, obstacle course, playground, running track of 400 mtrs., women hostel, gym, water conservation pond, compost depot, NSS unit, NCC boys and girls unit, career counseling cell, coaching for minority students, scholarship and free ship for students, three PG programmes, YCMOU centre, non-grand Microbiology course, UGC network resource centre, alumni association, parent-teacher association and guardian-teacher scheme.

The most creditable thing is that this college has been honoured with two Awards of Govt. of Maharashtra. The college received the first award “Paryawaran Puraskar” in 2011 and “Jagar Janiwancha” Abhiyan Purskar in 2013.
