D-Space Institutional Repository at JDPS

     Apart from completion of Librarian’s project of “Postgraduate Diploma in Digital Library and Information Management” (PGDLIM) at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai in 2013, college library has developed institutional repository accordingly using D-Space open source software for long-term preservation and access to the documents created intuitionally by the college.

Since the beginning of 2014, the library has institutional repository developed using D-Space open access repository software with the intention of long preservation and access to the documents stored in the repository. Presently the repository has 213 documents created institutionally and few harvested consisting of faculty research papers 17, seminars and conference proceedings 03, newspaper clippings 64, self-study report 01, reports of internal quality assurance cell 04, books and monographs 02, JDPS college papers 15, Library and Information Resource Centre 08, documents of science 11, Social Sciences 34, Syllabus 02 Question papers 52 etc. The plan is to host this repository to the internet in an open access for global visibility.
